Unhappy Workers To Take Apple To The Fair Work Commission

Apple is tackling criticism from unhappy workers both here and overseas; being taken to the Fair Work Commission later this month.

The Australian Services Union (ASU) as well as Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees’ Association (SDA) slammed Apple in a joint statement published by the unions on Tuesday, accusing the tech giant of stopping union organisers from consulting with workers.

The unions allege Apple sought to pressure its staff into taking an unseemly agreement after their appeal to lengthen the consultation process by lengthening the company’s deadline to August 19 was denied.
